Above: walking to Tibau with Samuel & Thelma (not in photo).
Above: Alfredo & Thelma
Below: having coffee and testing the binoculars - very large vultures.
Below: sunrise.
Noise of the sea/waves and the wind through the coconut trees was very loud - sounded like a howling gale and thunderstorm. Not much sleep.
Awoke about 5am to see the sun rise. About 6am went for early morning swim. The sea is always warm. Lots of waves and strong current. Not able to swim but good for body surfing the waves. Alfredo also up early. We then strolled down the beach to some rocks (border between Ceara & Rio Grande do Norte). Very few people about - just the odd person collecting crabs (small crabs - not called crabs in Portuguese but I forget the name, they don't have pincers).
Back for breakfast at 7.30am.
9am Samuel suggests stroll along beach to Tibau. About 25 min stroll. Past the same rocks as earlier.
