Tibau: Mon 2 Nov

Below : couple of beach scenes just in front of the house.

Below and above a couple of typical fishing boats. One pole/mast, single sail (wrapped around mast here). Typically three men per boat, out fishing for two nights - seems incredible on such small boats. The anchor is three pieces of wood in a pyramid shape with with a large rock tied in the middle. Not sure what the RN on the back of the boat above signifies!

Must be getting used to the noise of the waves/wind through the trees - wake up 6am. Have swim - Alfredo also up early. Few waves and virtually no current this morning. After swim we collect a small kind of shellfish that buries in the sand (like small clams in most respects). We collect a couple of handfulls and take up to house for the lady who looks after the house (forgot her name - shame on me) to cook - she cooks with coconut milk - very nice, too.
After breakfast stroll along beach.
Lunch around 12.30, pack and leave at 2.15pm and drive back to Fortaleza arriving 6.15pm.
